Ever since Uday left us to seek further adventures in the beyond, we have sought to find definition and meaning to our lives. With this in mind, the idea of establishing an educational Trust was conceived. The ’UDAY PUBLIC CHARITABLE TRUST’ was registered on September 24, 2005. 

The trust endeavors to provide education and support to the children of those who sacrificed their all to secure our nation’s future. Through this Trust we hope to bring some hope and cheer back into their lives. 

In the first year of it's inception, we were able to secure sponsorship for three young girls – all children of soldiers killed in action and belonging to 1 Para SF. - Two years down the line, the count is five. This has been possible due to the dedication of each one of our sponsors, who have stood by their commitment to see the child through his/her school years at least. These children were admitted into The Army Public School Dagshai entirely on merit. APS was Uday’s alma mater and is today one of the finest residential schools in the county. 

It may not always be possible to find individual sponsors for individual children. Our biggest challenge therefore is building a corpus so that many more such children come under its fold. In this we look forward to your help and support.

All donations to the Trust are exempt from income tax u/s 80G of the Income Tax Act. All sponsors will be provided with receipts of payments along with regular updates on the progress of the child being sponsored.
