Udai took over 500 slides & photographs using a NIKON F 50 between 1998 - 2003. What began, as a newfound hobby became an avid passion to the extent that he rarely moved without his camera. The photographs show tremendous potential & promise. The pictures are, almost without exception of the mountains he loved - the Himalayas in Kashmir. He had expressed a desire for his ashes to be scattered over the mountains where he had served in case he ever fell to an enemy bullet This wish was fulfilled by his friends & comrades in 1 Para SF.
